What are custom instructions
Custom AI instructions let you give the AI specific guidelines about how to reply. For example, you can tell it to always mention your support email, avoid certain topics, or use specific terminology.
Example instructions
"Always thank the user by name if available."
"When addressing bugs, mention that our team is investigating."
"Never promise specific timelines for fixes."
"Include a link to our help center: help.example.com"
"Use casual language and emoji for our gaming app."
Setting up custom instructions
Go to Settings > AI Configuration and enter your instructions in the text box. These instructions apply to all AI-generated replies in your workspace. You can update them at any time.
Plan requirements
Custom AI instructions are available on the Premium plan.
